Intentions

Did someone tell you something? Before you act on that information, stop and consider why they told you; inspect their possible motives. Why would they tell you that? Do they want something from you, even if they didn’t explicitly ask something from you? Are they excited by, venting about, or selling something? Is there something more to that interaction than what’s immediately apparent?

Every action has a motive; it’s the reason people act on or articulate their thoughts instead of just thinking them.
